I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Certified Classical Homeopath(CCH) in Baltimore. Initially I started as a homeopathic doctor in Nepal treating patients of all age ranges. I came across many chronic medical conditions during my initial practice. I realized at that time that there is huge role of mental health in wellbeing of a person. So I went to the University in Nepal and got my Masters in Psychology with specialization in Clinical psychology. It was very unique and interesting combination for me. I worked during heightened state of conflict in my country where people went through lot of trauma due to political unrest. It strengthen me as a clinician as well as a person. To my best opportunity, in my hometown Bhaktapur, European Classical homeopaths had started a course for a group of enthusiasts in the filed of homeopathy as there was a great need for health care in Nepal to make it more accessible to the public. It was well received and welcomed. I was fortunate to learn from more than 50 European Homeopaths in Nepal during their visit. I learned the different approach from each teacher and finally I found my own path of integrating homeopathy and mental health.
I came to United states almost a decade ago in search of American dream for my little family. Initial few years, I took time to raise my children, get adjusted to this amazingly huge country with different accents, culture, and lifestyle. I started to search for my own identity in this big country, I went back to school and Loyola University, Maryland accepted me as a student for their Certificate of Advanced Study in psychology program. Few years, I invested to build myself as a mental health professional, I got very encouraging Clinical supervisor during this journey and along the side, I got my national certification in Homeopathy and became a registered member of North American Society of Homeopaths.
I found Baltimore Homeopathic Study Group within two months of my arrival in Baltimore. I still continue to go in the study group once a month because it keeps my spirit alive. The group members are very enthusiastic and eager to learn and share all these years about homeopathy.
There is so less orientation and access to this wonderful healing modalities in United States where as Homeopathy is considered as one of the main health care choices among the other two choices ( Modern medicine, and Ayurveda )for population in India and Nepal. My journey has made me to establish in Baltimore at my private practice at Holistic Counseling LLC, Lutherville. I want to provide quality health care service to my patients. I provide individual consultation in the both field as well as integrative consultation on request. I am also providing psychotherapy services at Johns Hopkins Integrative Medicine and Digestive Center, Lutherville, Timonium.
I provide ProBono Counseling to patients who are in need and they are referred to me through The ProBono Counseling Project, Baltimore. I want homeopathy to be accessible to general public and raise more and more awareness among people to make better choices for their health. Homeopathy is a natural medicine which help to stimulate the body's own healing capacity. Homeopathy is not either or phenomena. It is supportive modality for better health. You need to keep all the medical services that you are currently on. I hope my background will help you to make better choice today.
In my free time, I love to listen to music, gardening, walk in the nature, write articles, and enjoy the moment.
